About the Gallery

Bert Green Fine Art represents and exhibits emerging and mid-career artists. We also work with specialty print houses to produce unusual and rare limited edition lithographs, letterpress, giclees, and photographic prints for both the primary and secondary market.

Additionally, works by many other artists who are not represented directly by Bert Green Fine Art are available through our wide network of partners.

Artists Submissions

Bert Green Fine Art does not review artist's portfolios without an invitation. Unsolicited packages and emails will not be answered or returned.


Bert Green Fine Art provides additional services such as consulting for fine art exhibition and urban revitalization projects, collection management, fine art print publication and art catalog production.

Gallery Director Bio

Bert Green graduated from New York University, and was the executive director of the NYC based non-profit arts organization Circumference from 1982 through 1989.

From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Green was a co-curator for the San Francisco, CA based non-profit arts organization ArtReach.

In 1999 Bert Green relocated to Los Angeles, CA to open the Circle Elephant Art gallery, and in 2004 opened Bert Green Fine Art in Downtown Los Angeles as the flagship of the newly established Gallery Row district.

Bert Green founded the Los Angeles Downtown Art Walk in 2004, which has grown to become the largest monthly art event in Los Angeles.

In 2011 BGFA moved from a retail gallery location to a private, by appointment-only space in Downtown Los Angeles, and the gallery closed the Los Angeles branch in November 2011.

In 2012, Bert Green Fine Art relocated to Chicago, IL in the historic Willoughby Building on Michigan Avenue, across from Millennium Park and a block north of The Art Institute of Chicago.
